Le Saint Germain, a 40 cm sailboat made in France by Maison Tirot.
Handcrafted in solid beech wood from the forests of Brittany, the Saint Germain II sailboat is the natural evolution of the old Saint Germain sailboat. It is equipped with a keel and ballast allowing it to resist the wind and sail like real sailboats. Its use is rather reserved for navigation in open waters (basin, pond, lake or open sea). A toy boat for young and old, also very popular as a decoration in a child's room or in the living room.
Recommendations for use:
Tirot boats are made by hand, in a Breton workshop, using the same know-how and the same gestures handed down from generation to generation since 1946. Robust, they will last for many years provided they are given the care they require. Indeed, wood is a living material that reacts to water. Despite all the care taken in the manufacture of these boats, prolonged contact with water may deteriorate. It is important to let your boat dry in the shade and away from excessive heat after each use. In particular, avoid drying a boat on a running radiator or in direct sunlight in summer.
