Thread Bear is a brand new company inspired by Danielle Hanson and Nick Shirley who share a passion for creating quality children’s gifts textiles and toys.

Thread Bear Design offers an extensive range of beautifully crafted wooden toys : Tender Leaf Toys. All Thread Bear and Tender Leaf products are born out of a love for great British design and are all imagined, and created in the UK. Their unique and original illustrative style stimulates imaginative and creative play - essential for the curious and inquiring minds of our children.

All the cutting, drying and painting of the wood (non toxic water stain), is all undertaken at the same factory location in Indonesia. With over 25 years of hands-on experience, the company has become a world leader in wooden toy manufacturing. Thread Bear care hugely about our childrens’ future and the future of our planet. All of their products are ethically made using sustainable rubberwood. For every tree that becomes a beautiful toy, another is replanted.
