PAPAYOO

In this card game, there are no jacks, queens or kings, but a fifth suit, called Payoo, plus a funny dice. How to score as few points as possible? By avoiding harvesting those pesky Payoos and especially the Papayoo, that pesky 7 whose color changes (damn dice!) with each round… You are not satisfied with the deal? No big deal, you give cards to your left before you start. But make the right choices, because they will be replaced by the “gift” coming from the right… Then you play the deal but without trumps and without scruples, not sure that the best wins!

Papayoo, an invigorating alternative to all traditional card games.

Principle of the game

At the start of each game, the players decide on the number of rounds (4 rounds last about 30 minutes).

The dealer begins the first trick by throwing the card of his choice, face up, in the center of the table. The other players then play each in turn in a clockwise direction, imperatively following the color requested by the first. If the player does not have the requested color in his hand, he discards another card of his choice. Whoever played the strongest card in the requested color picks up the trick and starts the next trick. If no player can follow in the requested color, the player who started the trick collects the cards.

At the end of the last trick, the players count their points. Each Payoo is worth its own value, the Papayoo is worth 40 points and the other cards are worth nothing.
